Happy Valentines days

I was at home waiting for my wife to come home.
She went to an office party.
It was 1PM in the night and i could hear the sound of the police seiren outside my house.
And then the knock at my door.
I did not understand and went to open the door.
There was a police inspector standing

Police Inspector: Mr. Upadhyay

Me: Yes
What happened

PI: You need to come to the police station

Me: Why?

Before I could say anything the Police inspector pulled me and took me to the police station.
I get to know that the police inspector was the head constable and apparently it was something related to my wife. I was imagining if my wife had crashed the car she has taken or what
Unfortunately my phone was left at the station.
From the room I was locked in I saw a female coming out and she was crying followed by a person in police uniform.
He introduced himself as the CI of the area.
This time a real inspector came in and started talking to me.

CI: Do you know why you are here?

Me: My wife crashed the car. Is it serious?

CI: dont act smart? Just answer a simple question
Or else we know how to get the answer
Why did you kill your wife?

I was shocked. I came to know that my wife was killed along with her boss in some hotel.
The Police told that they were having an affair and the whole company knew that.
I was the prime suspect. As i recently burst on my wife before her colleague

CI: where were you tonight?

Me: Home

CI: So thats your alibi?

Me: I was just waiting for my wife

CI: You are going to jail.

I was kept the whole night at jail.
I was finally given chance to contact a lawyer. My lawyer bailed me out the other day.

CI was talking to the women that I saw yesterday who went out crying
I went near them.

CI: Aditi ji Mr. Upadhyay the husband of the….

Me: I am sorry for the loss

Aditi just did not see my face and left.
The police searched my house and my mails.
My whole house was seized.
Apparently someone sneaked in the hotel and murdered my wife and her lover.
There was no CCTV cameras for the hotel
The hotel was not booked online as well.
My wife’s golden necklace was missing.

The court case started
The police and judges were skeptical about me because i watched porn and my wife was Hot

How can you watch porn?
How can you not know that your wife is having an affair?

Apparently Aditi was never the suspect

The police tried hard but could not make a case on me

There was no substantial evidence was what the Judge had told.

It took 2 years for the case to get over, despite my flowing money and heavily paid lawyer.
It was valentines day and I was on a date

I invited my valentine to a nice cafe.
I saw that CI there
He came near me

CI: How is life

Me: Its good.

CI: Sorry for the trouble.

Me: I think I have suffered enough. Hopefully we will not meet again

I was rude to the CI, which I should not have been. I saw the CI following me. Apparently wanted to check what I was doing i guess.

I went inside the cafe and sat with my Valentine Aditi.

Aditi: I had to wait for half hour

Me: I was intervened by a mutual friend

CI walked in as he saw me and Aditi sharing lunch.

CI: Nice necklace Aditi ji. It looks similar to the one of Your dates wife necklace

Me: Her husband gave it to her.
Similar piece was given to my wife.
we are on a date

CI: I thought you said it was your pustaini necklace

Me: Fuck off
You think i killed my wife Go and file a case
And dont irritate me ok.

CI saw me angry and he left.

Aditi: cool down
Now everything is going good
why angry him the case is over.

Me: Dont worry he cant do anything

Aditi: My tickets are booked for tomorrow

Me: It is a pusteni one as he said

Aditi took one cover and gave it to me.
Aditi: Gift for my valentine, Dont open it.
I will come tomorrow morning to your home

We had our lunch and I went home.

I opened the gift and it was gun.
It was the gun that was used to kill my wife and a small note.
I suddenly saw my door broken and the fucking CI barged in.

THe gun was pointed on my head

CI: You are under arrest

I read the note it was written ” Happy Valentines Day”.
